Bidding Closes for Hay Bids on Prairie Lake & Bruning Dam


September 7, 2018

The Little Blue NRD has to offer to the public baled prairie hay in big round bales at 2 locations in the District. Bids are due on September 7th, 2018 by 4:00 PM. The review of bids by the Board of Directors will be September 11, 2018, for the ownership of the hay to the highest bidder by the ton. The District will have a representative to be scheduled on site for the weigh-in and out process. All loading, handling, and hauling equipment will be the responsibility of the bidder.

  • Location 1) Prairie Lake Recreation Area – 3 miles south and 1 mile east of Juniata, NE. Consists of 46 1/4 net wrapped round bales. One bale has been weighed, and the weight was 1,340 lbs. For estimated purposes only! Approximately 30.98 tons.+- The District will be selling by the ton. Please feel free to inspect this hay at your convenience.
  • Location 2) Bruning Dam Recreation Area – 2 miles east, 1 mile north and ¾ miles east of   Bruning, NE. Consists of 23 1/4 net wrapped round bales. One bale has been weighed in at 1,580 lbs. For estimated purposes only!  Approximately 18.37 tons.+- The District will be selling by the ton. Please feel free to inspect this hay at your convenience.
